- Understanding Wear: While the PVD coating is very durable, all plated jewelry can experience gradual thinning of the color layer over many years due to consistent friction (against skin, clothing, etc.). This is natural physical abrasion, not a failure of the material's color-fastness.

Can this jewelry be worn during shower and swimming?
This depends on the material of your piece:
- Stainless Steel: Yes! Fully waterproof. Safe for shower, swimming, exercise, and 24/7 wear. Won't tarnish or oxidize.
- Sterling Silver: Water-resistant but not waterproof. While it can handle brief water contact (handwashing, light rain), we recommend removing it before swimming, showering, or prolonged water exposure to prevent tarnishing. Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to water and chemicals over time - this is normal and can be cleaned with a silver polishing cloth.
